Powr-Flite NM201HD 20″ Millennium Floor Machine: 175 RPM All-Purpose Low-Speed Machine

High-Throughput Low-Speed Floor Care in Commercial Settings

The NM201HD’s 20″ pad covers 38% more area per pass than the 17″ NM171HD, making it the productivity choice for open hospital corridors, school cafeterias, retail floors, and large commercial spaces. At 175 RPM with black stripping pads, it delivers sustained high-torque stripping output without the gear wear that accumulates in direct-drive transmissions under continuous load — the triple planetary gearbox distributes torque across three gear sets simultaneously. Rotationally molded polyethylene housing reduces vibration from the 1.5 HP motor to the handle, which matters on extended stripping runs where operators work the machine for multiple hours in a single session. The dual lever safety switch with thumb interlock prevents the machine from engaging when being repositioned between passes.

NM201HD vs. NM202 — Single-Speed vs. Dual-Speed 20″ Millennium Machine

The NM201HD and NM202 both use a 20″ pad, 1.5 HP motor (X8980-TI vs. X8071-TI respectively), triple planetary drive, and polyethylene housing at 110 lbs with identical warranties. The NM202 adds a second speed (320 RPM) for spray buffing and polishing. For facilities where a burnisher handles all high-speed finishing and the floor machine is used exclusively for scrubbing and stripping, the single-speed NM201HD is the simpler and more economical specification.
