The KwiKool KBIO1411-3 is a self-contained portable air conditioner that combines 13,850 BTU of cooling with 99.999% ULPA/HEPA filtration and continuous UVC germicidal irradiation — designed for mold remediation, healthcare isolation rooms, and any space requiring simultaneous temperature control and pathogen removal. KBIO1411-3 Filtration and Germicidal Disinfection
A 4-inch thick ULPA/HEPA filter captures 99.999% of particles 0.12 microns and larger — exceeding the standard 99.97% HEPA threshold by a full order of magnitude. A 17W UVC lamp (capable of up to 85W) continuously irradiates the evaporator coil, the active airstream, and all internal chamber surfaces, neutralizing pathogens on contact. UVC interlock switches cut the lamp the moment the access door is opened, protecting service personnel during filter changes. The 450 CFM centrifugal evaporator fan delivers treated, conditioned air through adjustable vents; optional 5-inch supply air chutes allow directional discharge for negative pressure and pressurization setups.
KBIO1411-3 Cooling System and Self-Contained Condensate Management
The hermetic rotary compressor produces 13,850 BTU/hr at 95°F and 60% relative humidity using non-CFC R-410A refrigerant. Hot gas bypass freeze protection and low ambient controls prevent coil freeze across the full 65°F to 105°F operating range, and the unit auto-restarts after power interruptions without manual reset. An internal high-lift condensate pump drains to an integrated 5-gallon reservoir tank with a float cutoff and independent overflow protection, eliminating the gravity-drain requirement common on standard portable units. The I/O Integral Condenser design balances inlet and outlet condenser air pressure, so the unit operates effectively in fully sealed rooms without requiring dedicated return air ductwork. Input/output alarm contacts allow integration with building management systems for remote monitoring. A sight glass with moisture indicator and Schrader service ports are included for field servicing.
