Description

The Atlas Platinum PTC400 + PWB90XL combo pairs a center-post swing-arm tire changer with a 3D video wheel balancer for shops servicing passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs. Both machines run on standard 110V power, share Italian-engineered components, and carry a 2-year parts-only warranty.

PTC400 Tire Changer

The PTC400 uses a center-post swing-arm design with a high-torque 110V electric turntable and a left-hand bead-pressing and bead-lifting assist arm to handle stiff sidewalls and low-profile tires. Clamping range is 10″ to 26″, max tire diameter 43″, and max wheel width 15″ (13″ reversed). The mount/demount head is metal with replaceable plastic inserts to protect alloy wheels, and an anodized aluminum bead-breaker cylinder drives the air-operated bead breaker. An external flexible bead-blast system, filter/regulator/lubricator, tire tool, lube bucket, and brush are included.

The PTC400 requires an external air supply at 120 to 145 PSI and arrives partially assembled.

PWB90XL Wheel Balancer

The PWB90XL is a Platinum 3D video motorized spin balancer with a high-resolution monitor and Super Automatic 3D Data Entry — a single gauge captures offset and diameter, and touchless sonar measures rim width without an old-style measuring arm. A laser line guides the operator back to the exact weight position after the spin, and an LED illuminates the wheel interior. ALU-S and additional ALU programs handle alloy wheels; Optimatch (match-mounting), FES (Fast & Easy Split), and OPF (Opposite Position Function) cover the harder balance cases.

The balancer handles rim sizes 10″ to 30″, rim widths 1.5″ to 20″, max wheel weight 165 lb, and balances to 1-gram accuracy at 1.4° weight position resolution. Display reads in grams or ounces and mm or inches. The PWB90XL is self-diagnosing, self-calibrating, and does not require floor anchoring.

Logistics and warranty

The PTC400 ships at 620 lb and the PWB90XL at 290 lb. Both machines carry a 2-year parts-only warranty, and replacement parts and wear items remain available for both.
