When the Tank Makes the Difference

Tile grout cleaning, concrete scrubbing, and stone surface maintenance require consistent moisture contact between the pad and the surface throughout the cleaning pass. Pre-applying solution and then scrubbing works for small areas but creates dry zones on longer runs where the solution evaporates or absorbs before the pad reaches it. The BGEM9000’s integrated tank releases solution through the pad driver during the pass, maintaining consistent moisture coverage on tile, concrete, and stone. For dry applications — carpet bonnet cleaning, hardwood buffing, and polishing runs where solution is counterproductive — the BGEM8500 without tank is the cleaner specification.

Floor Machine Pad Selection for Wet Scrubbing Applications

With the solution tank active, the BGEM9000 handles: tile and grout scrubbing (green scrubbing pad), concrete degreasing and oil stain removal (black stripping pad or green scrubbing pad), vinyl scrubbing before recoating (green pad), and stone surface cleaning (green or specialty stone pad). The tank quantity determines how long between refills the machine runs on a given area. For dry applications where the tank is not used, pad selection follows the same logic as the BGEM8500 — red for spray buffing, white for polishing, black for stripping dry residue.
