iDEAL MSC18KX-CRSBM ALI Certified Crossbeam Frame-Engaging Adapter for MSC-18K-X and MSC-13K-B Mobile Column Lifts

Description

The iDEAL MSC18KX-CRSBM is a frame-engaging crossbeam adapter that converts an iDEAL mobile column lift from wheel-engaging to frame-engaging service. Capacity ranges from 22,000 lb to 33,000 lb across the supported pad-width and pad-height envelope, and the unit is ALI Certified to the rigorous standards governing professional automotive lifting equipment.

With the crossbeam in place, technicians get full wheels-free access to brakes, suspension, axles, exhaust, and undercarriage components — the work most often blocked by a wheel-engaging carriage. The crossbeam can be deployed individually with a two-column MSC-18K-X-236 set to lift one end of a vehicle, or in pairs with a four-column MSC-18K-X-472 set to lift the entire vehicle off the ground.

The pillar supports adjust in both width and height, so the same crossbeam fits across a wide range of frame geometries — light commercial trucks at one end of the envelope and Class 6–8 trucks, fleet vehicles, and bus chassis at the other. Min/max pad width is 6¼” to 110″, and min/max pad height is 20″ to 25″.

The unit rolls on poly casters and ships with a tow bar, so a single technician can reposition it across the bay without lifting equipment. Each end of the beam carries hooked feet that mate with the column-lift carriage forks, and reflective hazard striping marks the beam ends and pillar bases.

HD Contact Pad Adapter Package

Each MSC18KX-CRSBM ships standard with three pairs of heavy-duty contact-pad adapters, sized for different lift-point geometries. No separate pad purchase is needed at the time of order; the bundled set covers most light-commercial and heavy-truck lifting scenarios.

Standard Pad

The Standard Pad is the default contact surface for flat or near-flat frame rails. It distributes load across a flat machined face, with a small lip on the underside that nests onto the threaded pillar shaft.

Axle Pad

The Axle Pad is a V-block style adapter for cradling axle tubes and round components. The opposed ramped faces self-center the load and prevent rolling.

Cradle Pad

The Cradle Pad is a U-channel adapter with raised side walls, sized for tubular members and frame rails that need lateral capture. The flat trough holds the contact point in position while the side walls prevent the load from walking off the pad during lift cycles.
