1,000 CFM HEPA Air Scrubber with UVC and Bi-Polar Ionization

The KwiKool KBX1000 BioAir Max delivers 1,000 CFM of three-stage treated air — HEPA filtered, UVC irradiated, and ion-charged — in the same 115V/15A footprint as the smaller BioAir models. It covers spaces up to 1,000 sq. ft. at the CDC-recommended 6 air changes per hour at 9-foot ceilings. Compared to the KBP1000, the KBX1000 adds the needle-point bi-polar ionizer for active in-space treatment beyond the direct airflow path. ETL and CETL listed. Made in the USA.

KBX1000 Filtration, UVC, and Ionization

The 4-inch HEPA filter delivers 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns, capturing the overwhelming majority of mold spores, bacteria, and fine particulate in a single pass. Two UVC lamps provide continuous germicidal irradiation of the filter surface and airstream. The needle-point bi-polar ionizer generates a balanced ion field in the discharge air that extends treatment effectiveness beyond the direct airflow footprint — effective for reducing surface-settled particles, neutralizing VOCs, and addressing airborne pathogens in adjacent areas. The fan delivers 1,000, 875, or 750 CFM at zero static pressure across three speeds with four selectable discharge directions; the optional 10-inch stainless discharge flange (upgradeable to 12-inch) and CK-12S-SS ceiling kit round out installation options.

KBX1000 Physical and Electrical Specifications

The KBX1000 measures 16.5″ × 22.25″ × 38″ and weighs 90 lbs — the same physical footprint as the KBX600 with a slight weight increase for the larger blower. It draws 6.04A at 0.63 kW on a standard 15A circuit. Replacement filters: 14-FILTERBIO (4″ HEPA) and 14-FILTERPRE (pre-filter). Replacement UVC bulb: KK-UVB1. Ceiling kit shipping weight adds 12 lbs to the base 125 lb shipping weight.
