The XPOWER X-8 is a 1/3 HP induction motor fan rated at 1,200 CFM that functions as both a forced-air blower and an exhaust fan — two operating modes in one unit, which matters when confined space entry protocols require both fresh-air supply and contaminated-air extraction during a job. At 2.5 amps on a standard 115V circuit, it draws significantly less power than comparable centrifugal blowers, allowing multiple units to run on the same circuit during large-scale ventilation setups. The 13.5 lb ABS housing is stackable and light enough for one-person transport into manholes, utility vaults, and subterranean access points where a heavy steel fan is impractical.

Confined space entry teams in municipal utilities — water, sewer, and electrical — use the X-8 to purge hazardous gases (hydrogen sulfide, methane) before entry and to maintain continuous fresh-air supply during the work period. Restoration contractors use it for structure drying ventilation in tight attic spaces, crawlspaces, and below-grade mechanical rooms where larger drying fans cannot fit. Pest control operators use it to ventilate treated spaces after chemical application in enclosed building areas. The dual blower/exhaust mode means the same unit that supplies fresh air on entry can be reversed for exhaust-mode clearance after chemical or gas treatment — reducing the equipment count crews carry to the job site.
