Description

The Atlas® TC229DAA rim clamp, swing arm tire changer is an excellent solution for homeowners, small commercial garages, and ATV or motorcycle dealerships. This version of the TC229 is equipped with the Atlas® DAA-SA dual assist arm package, which includes a left-mounted assist arm with a pressing block and pressing/lifting disk, along with a right-mounted assist arm featuring a pressing/lifting disk and bead roller. The dual assist arms are essential when servicing large volumes of stiff sidewall, low-profile, and run-flat tires. The DAA system functions as an extra set of hands, improving efficiency and reducing operator fatigue.

The TC229DAA also includes a built-in “Beadblaster” system, designed to help seat and inflate stiff sidewall or other difficult-to-inflate tires. If you plan to service larger one-ton pickup trucks, large SUVs, or agricultural tires—either now or in the future—you may want to consider the Atlas® TC289 tire changer.

Atlas® wheel clamp tire changers are engineered to service both high-end alloy wheels and standard steel wheels without damaging the rim or tire. The heavy-duty bead breaker mounted on the side of the machine is capable of loosening even stubborn or rusted beads without harming the wheel. The turntable jaws, which can be fitted with plastic protective covers, securely clamp the rim while preventing surface damage. These jaws can be adjusted to three different positions along the turntable slide, allowing the clamping range to be increased or decreased to accommodate a wide variety of tire sizes.

The Atlas® TC229DAA requires some assembly after purchase.
