The Autel IWA500ACT is the IWA500 MaxiAlign wheel alignment system bundled with the 10.1-inch touchscreen MaxiAlign IWA500 tablet and an Autel-branded metal rim-storage cabinet. The system is purpose-built for one job: fast, precise, repeatable wheel alignments. A mobile six-camera frame captures camber, caster, toe, and thrust angle on U.S., Asian, and European vehicles from 1975 to current production, with continuously updated OE alignment specifications loaded by server-based Auto VID.

The guided workflow starts with vehicle identification, then steps the technician through an all-systems pre-scan, undercarriage inspection, and tire tread depth and pressure analysis before measurement begins. Real-time feedback during adjustment shortens iteration loops and reduces the number of “re-check, re-measure” cycles per alignment. The auto-tracking crossbar follows the vehicle as the lift moves, holding precise target alignment without manual repositioning between measurement passes.

Beyond standard alignment, the IWA500 handles the cases that slow most bays down: bump steer, raised-vehicle adjustment for limited-clearance designs, wheel-off mode for tight suspensions, and SAS (Steering Angle Sensor) calibration to properly complete alignments on ADAS-equipped and electronic-steering vehicles. Autel’s MaxiToe feature centers the steering wheel during toe adjustment without a steering wheel holder, simplifying a step that traditionally requires extra hardware and a second set of hands.

The IWA500ACT is fully portable bay-to-bay — there is no fixed installation. Detailed pre- and post-alignment reports document every job for the customer, the insurer, and the shop’s records, and the reports save, print, or share digitally from the tablet.

FAQ

How is the IWA500ACT different from the IWA500T?

The IWA500T package includes the IWA500 alignment system and the MaxiAlign IWA500 tablet only. The IWA500ACT adds the Autel-branded metal rim-storage cabinet for organizing the four rim clamps and accessories between jobs.

Does the IWA500 handle ADAS calibration?

The IWA500 is a wheel alignment system, not an ADAS calibration system. It performs Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) calibration as part of the post-alignment workflow on ADAS-equipped vehicles, which is what most alignments on modern electronic-steering vehicles require. Full ADAS calibration (radar aim, camera target placement, LDW, BSM, etc.) is handled by Autel’s IA700, IA900, and IA1000 family of ADAS calibration systems.

Does it work on alignment-rack lifts or scissor lifts?

The IWA500 is a mobile, free-standing frame designed to roll bay-to-bay. It works alongside any properly equipped alignment-capable lift; the system itself does not require a dedicated lift.

Is installation included?
