Description
The Atlas® TC289 rim-clamp, swing-arm tire changer is well-suited for general automotive service departments and mid-sized tire shops. It is also ideal for farm applications and homeowners who need to service larger tires. The TC289 features an oversized turntable with increased clearance, allowing it to handle large-diameter tires commonly found on SUVs and one-ton trucks. A built-in “Beadblaster” system assists with inflating stiff sidewall or other difficult-to-seat tires.
Atlas® wheel clamp tire changers are engineered to service both alloy and steel wheels without causing rim or tire damage. The Atlas® TC289 includes a powerful, adjustable bead breaker mounted on the side of the machine, designed to separate even rusted or stubborn beads without harming the wheel. The turntable jaws—compatible with protective plastic covers—secure the rim firmly while protecting the wheel surface. These jaws can be repositioned to three different mounting points along the turntable slide, expanding or reducing the clamping range to accommodate a wide variety of tire sizes.
The Atlas® TC289 requires assembly after purchase.
