Description

The Atlas® TC289LH rim clamp, swing arm tire changer is an excellent choice for most general automotive service departments and medium-sized tire shops. It is also well-suited for farm applications and homeowners who need to service larger tires. This version of the TC289 includes the Atlas® LHA or “Left Hand Assist” arm, a highly useful feature when working with stiff sidewall and low-profile tires. The assist arm functions as an extra set of hands, reducing effort and saving time for a single operator.

The Atlas® TC289LH is built with the largest turntable in its class and provides maximum clearance for handling large-diameter tires, making it ideal for servicing large SUVs and one-ton trucks. The unit also includes a built-in “Beadblaster” system, designed to help seat and inflate stiff sidewall or other difficult-to-inflate tires.

Atlas® wheel clamp tire changers are engineered to service both high-end alloy wheels and standard steel wheels without causing damage to the rim or tire. The TC289 features a powerful adjustable bead breaker mounted on the side of the machine, capable of loosening even heavily rusted or stubborn beads without harming the wheel. The turntable jaws, which can be fitted with plastic protective covers, securely clamp the rim while preventing surface damage. These jaws can be adjusted to three different positions along the turntable slide, allowing the operator to expand or reduce the clamping range to accommodate a wide variety of tire sizes.

The Atlas® TC289LH requires some assembly after purchase.
